SurvivingBobby therapy thread

Dear Veritaserum forum members and guests,
I hate to say it, but there has been a member showing complete disregard and a lack of respect. We [moderators] feel that this has really hurt VTM forum's good morale, and we are sorry if he has caused you a disturbance.
Not only did he break around 3 or 4 rules (and there are hardly any rules!), he was just plain rude to some members overall.
I have gotten complaints from several moderators and regular members. I sincerely apologize to the 3 regular members that have reported being constantly annoyed by this member through the use of PMs.
He has been banned from the forums in all possible ways. Please do not abandon the forums because of one member that happened to not read the rules. If you have been traumatized, or just feel like getting sympathy, please let us know be replying, and we will try to help.

guys,you know im new and all and i have tried a few other forums but they were more than just lacking this site is like a home to me already.from the first time i posted i knew the difference between here and other forums that wished they were this good! so my knowledge of forum rules or punishments is not as broad as others so please forgive me if this statement offends bc that is not my inttention, isnt banning a member COMPLETLY a little harsh?(ive been out for 2 days so i dont know if something happened in that time)just seems stern i know im new and my opinon really doent matter nor am i making this post in an attempt to change any minds i just hope the ax doesnt fall very often is all

Sometimes it is Lily, but in this case it was the right thing to do. He was disrespecting me, Laura and Triad, and other members. Although we moderators tend to be a bit annoying, you guys still need to respect us. Sheesh, I sound like my social studies teacher now, lol.

If you respect us, we'll respect you. We had to ban him because he broke rules more times than was allowed, was rude to mods, it was the only thing we could do to try and make him understand. And we hope it doesn't have to happen in the future.

Although banning a member does seem COMPLETELY harsh, it had to be done.
After multiple warnings, SurvingBobby refused to be kind to many members, and their feelings were hurt at some of his comments. This is completely unacceptable, and I wanted our visitors to know that his actions and words are NOT endorsed or backed by VTM staff.

respect should be given because it is the normal thing to do not just because of a title.

Then why do we support the president? Why did people respect Saddam Hussein? America didn't respect the people in Afghanistan. No, they just dropped bombs on them, killing innocent civilians.
I'm not trying to be disrespectful Lily, you are a brilliant girl who really thinks about others, but I am really in a bad mare, because I have a 102.2 temperature, I missed two tests, and my my friend isn't coming on AIM to answer my question, that IS REALLY IMPORTANT, AND GRRRR......

It's true respect has to be earned and we are trying to earn it but some people just expect to be respected. we do not demand respect beause of our title, we want respect because like you said it's the normal thing to do.

You should respect us because we are human beings. don't you respect your mother? your friends? your teachers? why do you respect them? even when you just met your teachers and they hadn't had time to earn your respect, i bet you still respected them. you probably didn't talk back or directly disobey them and go against them face to face. we deserve respect just like any other member of this forum and YOU deserve respect.
SurvivingBobby was disrespecting several members. And like you said lily, you weren't here for 2 days and you also didn't see all the rude PM's some of us recived, so don't judge us too harshly.

okay all of misundersood and took the defensive. i myself have never had to repect anyone because of thier title or thier label in my life. respect has always been a free flowing part of my life and because of that i've saved myself a lot of heartache. you feel that bobby was disrespectful because you are moderators when he should have been courteous any who. now could we all please get back to the harry talk i've been out for 2 days and need to catch up!!!!!!!!!
